Obituary of Dorothy M. Hall


Dorothy M. (Sattler) Hall, 85, of Norwell died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a sudden illness. The daughter of the late Charles and Emily (Kuka) Sattler of Valley Stream, N.Y., she was the beloved wife of the late John M. Hall; and daughter-in-law of the late J. Wesley and Bertha. Dorothy was the devoted mother of Jeff and Lori; and loving grandmother to Keith. She was also the sister to the late Edward Sattler, his late wife Virginia; and loving aunt of their children, J. Thomas of New York and Robin of New Jersey. Dorothys love and encouragement tied her family closely together. She was an active 49-year member of Church Hill United Methodist Church (CHUMC) and a lifetime animal advocate. She enjoyed viewing wildlife in their natural habitat. During her working career, Dorothy worked at ET Wright Shoes, Sevigny's Ribbon Candy and Electro Signal Lab. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte. 53, in Hanover, Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Church Hill United Methodist Church, 630 River St., in Norwell.
