LindseyGreerDorothy Mary Gaines Lindsey, 92, widow of Matheny Poteat Lindsey, Sr., died February 10, 2015 at White Oak Manor of Tryon, N.C.A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Vance Donald and Annie Myrtle O'Shields Gaines, she was a retired employee of Belk Stores, a dietician for two Greenville County schools, dietician for Allen Bennett Hospital and Roger Huntington Nursing Home, also served as in-house security for Victoria Arms and a member of Tyger Baptist Church.Surviving are three sons, Matheny Lindsey, Jr., (Bette) of Pensacola, FL, Rick Lindsey (Vivian) and Bill Lindsey all of Greer; one daughter, Nola Chandler (Truman) of Greer; one son-in-law, James Polson of Woodruff; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.Mrs. Lindsey was predeceased by one son, Philip Lindsey, one daughter, Lucy Polson, four brothers, Don Gaines, Jim Gaines, Johnny Gaines and Frank Gaines and two sisters, Jerri Crumley and Lynn Williams.Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery conducted by Rev.
