Lee, Dorothy "Dotty"May 21, 1934 - Dec. 20, 2012Dorothy "Dotty" Hunter Lee, age 78, of Venice, FL, died on December 20, 2012 after a short illness while visiting her family in NH. She was born May 21, 1934 daughter of the late George and Beatrice (Harold) Hunter. She grew up in Greenwood Lake, NY and attended college in Oneonta where she received her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. After graduation she taught in Pine Bush, NY. She married John "Jack" Lee in 1958 and taught at the Greenwood Lake Elementary School for many years. She and Jack moved to Venice, FL in 1989 and enjoyed their retirement years there. Dotty was very active in church activities, including The Prayer Shawl Ministry at The Epiphany Cathedral.Dotty was predeceased by her parents, her sister Loretta Stewart and her husband. She is survived by her brother-in-law Dennis Lee, her four children, John Lee and his wife Laura of Bangor, ME; Laurie Bickford and her husband Jay, of Winterport, ME; Carolyn Mazurowski and her husband Jay of Bow, NH; Chris Lee of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She was proud grandmother to 6 grandchildren, Denise, Erica, Danielle and Jayme Bickford and Dana and Peter Mazurowski.Memorial Services will be held in Venice, FL at a later date.Memorial donations may be made in her memory to The Epiphany Cathedral or The Epiphany School located at 350 Tampa Avenue West Venice, FL 34285 The Waters Funeral Home, Concord, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
