MANCHESTER -- Dorothy M. Larrabee, 99, of Summerhaven Road, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at her home.Dot was born in Waterville on March 10, 1912, the first of nine children to William H. and Mary E. (Brayall) Larracey.In 1928 she married Chester Larrabee, and they moved to Augusta. She was employed as a shoemaker for two years at Hazzard Shoe and for 18 years at Taylor Shoe. In 1956, she and her husband moved to Florida, where they were members of the Palmacea Christian Church in Tampa. Upon their retirement, they moved again to Keystone Heights, Fla., where they managed the North Florida Christian Service Campground until Chester's death in 1979.Dot then moved back to Maine in 1980 to be with her family. She has been a member of the North Manchester Meeting House Church for more than 30 years. Her hobbies included gardening and crocheting.She was predeceased by her husband, Chester; a son, Paul A. Larrabee; daughter-in-law Beverly Larrabee; and a great grandson, Stephen Plourde.She is survived by her granddaughters Linda Larrabee and her life partner, David Myerscough, of Manchester, and Wickenberg, Ariz.; Simmonetta Bois and her husband, Terry, of Holiday, Fla.; and Marylou Larrabee of Manchester; a great-granddaughter, Melissa Child and her life partner, Tim Audet; four great-great grandchildren, Paul Plourd, Samantha Plourd, Nickkolas Child and Kyra Audet; a great-great-great granddaughter, Savannah; her brother, George Larracey, of Portland; as well as several step-sisters, nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14 at the North Manchester Meeting House Church, with the Rev. Stan Moody officiating. Burial will follow in the Scribner Hill Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North Manchester Meeting House Church, Emergency Relief Fund, P.O.
