LOWELL -- Dorothy L. (Pizzano) Bartlett, 92, a former Lowell resident, died Thursday, June 7, at the Prescott House in North Andover. She was the beloved wife of Thomas Bartlett, who died in 1981.She was born in Lowell, Jan. 4, 1915, daughter of the late Raphael and Mary (Harnden) Pizzano. She was educated in Lowell schools, and graduated from Lowell High School.Mrs. Bartlett remained at home to care for her husband and family.She was a parishioner of the former Sacred Heart Church, now Holy Family Parish.Mrs. Bartlett and her husband loved attending flea markets. She loved to dance, especially line dancing. She enjoyed summers at Hampton Beach on the New Hampshire seacoast. She wintered in Florida for about six months every year, enjoying the sunny beaches there as well. She enjoyed playing cards, her favorite game being scat. She also taught this game to her grandnieces and grandnephews. A true New Englander, she loved to watch the Red Sox on television.She is survived by a nephew, Donald Pizzano of Hanson; a niece, Roberta Gonzales and her husband, Joseph of Waldorf, Md.; her grandnieces, Lyn Misserville and her husband, Joe of Dracut, Kym Pizzano and Gayl Pizzano, both of Lowell and their mother, Sandra Pizzano, also of Lowell; two grandnephews and their wives, Eric and Ann Bedard of Maryland, and Dayl and Keri Pizzano of Dracut; six great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews, Kyle, Thomas and Brian Bedard, all of Maryland, Anthony Misserville of Dracut, and Zachary and Haley Pizzano of Dracut.She was also the sister of the late Paul Pizzano and Helena Monson.
