Dorothy J. (Butler) Murphyof EndicottDorothy J. (Butler) Murphy, 77, of Endicott, passed away peacefully Monday evening, April 21, 2003, at the Ideal Senior Living Center. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Estelle Butler; and her husband, Robert J. Murphy, in 2001. She is survived by her son, Mark J. Murphy, Endicott; grandson, Ryan J. Murphy, Endicott; two sisters, Ruth Duggan, Endicott, and Marjorie Schofield, Endwell; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Ethel Butler, Endwell; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Isabelle and Barry Hashem, Endicott, Rose and Herbert Brown, Florida; brother-in-law, Donald Pratt, Hillcrest; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends to numerous to mention. A special thank you to Lori Johnson for her loving care of both Bob and Dot, and to the staff on Lily Court at Ideal Senior Living Center for their loving care of Dot for the last four years. She was a retired employee of the Village of Endicott Parking Authority, a life member of St. Ambrose Church, Endicott, 51 year member of American Legion Post #82, Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as past president, and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister and will be missed by all who knew her.Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 9:15 a.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott and at 10 a.m. at St. Ambrose Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell.
