JONES, Dorothy Irene, 86, of Ocala, Fla., passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at her residence. She was born October 24, 1921, in Glade Springs, Va., and had been a resident of Ocala for three years, coming from Seffner, Fla., where she lived for 27 years. She was a member of Bellshoals Baptist Church in Brandon, Fla., and of Fellowship Baptist Church of Ocala. She enjoyed fishing, camping, sports, watching football and baseball, and her family. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Miller of Ocala, Fla., and Patricia Adcock of Greensboro, N.C.; son, John Frederick III of Brunswick, Ga.; sisters, Mattie Grey Heneger of Saltville, Va., and Louise Frederickson of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Frederick Jones. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007, at Fellowship Baptist Church. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Garden of Memories in Tampa, Fla. Arrangements are being handled by Hiers Funeral Home, Ocala, Fla.
