Obituary of Dorothy-Irene Jackson


(nee Jackson) In Ottawa on Monday, December 15, 2003 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Harold Robert Plumêmer and loving mother and best friend of her daughters, Carol Jean Plumêmer and Dorothy May Plumêmer. She will be sadly missed by her family - her sister-in-law, Hazel Medley; her niece Claire Fogarty (Maurice) and her nephew, Fred Hansen (Thelma), as well as many friends in St. Catharines, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec. Mrs. Plumêmer was for many years an active member of the Greenfield Park United Church Women, an active member of the Elm Street United Church in St. Catharines and, later, a member of Rothwell United Church in Gloucester. She also actively participated for many years as a member of the Rebekahs (Women's Division of the Independent Order of the Oddfellows) and the Eastern Star (Women's Division of the Masons). The family wishes to express their many thanks to both the Staff of the West End Villa in Ottawa and the Staff of Chateau Sur Le Lac in Montreal for their many kindnesses and their loving care. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road, Ottawa from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2003. Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 20th. Interment at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
