Dorothy Frances Fox, 84, Inverness, died at home with her loving family at her side July 16, 2013. Mrs. Fox was born in Toledo, Ohio, May 15, 1929, the daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy (Sherwin) Petke. She moved here in 1986 from Thomaston, Conn., where she spent most of her life. Dorothy was a member of the Hernando United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, painting, but especially, spending time with her family.She is survived by five children, Tom (Sue) Jacques, Kittanning, Pa.; Diane (David) Christophy, Sarasota; Brian (Allison) Jacques, Dayton, Tenn.; Deb (Kevin) Cook, Torrington, Conn.; Louanne (David) Lauretano, Thomaston, Conn.; two brothers, Raymond Petke, Northfield, Conn.; David Petke, Damascus, Md.; her sister, Catherine Danaher, New Berlin, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; Alex Sammy and Ava Elizabeth "Love You". She was preceded in death by two husbands, Ralph E. Jacques, Jan 17, 1985 and Walter A. Fox, Sept 5, 2010.Dorothy's life will be honored at 10 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2013, at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Carris officiating. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Hernando United Methodist Church, 2125 E. Norvell Bryant Hwy., Hernando, FL 34442.
