Obituary of Dorothy-Florence Morrison


(nee Morrison) R.N., Dipl. P.H.N, (McGill) Vet W.W.II In her sleep at Victoria, B.C. on Saturday, April 19, 2003, Dorothy Donaldson (Dot), in her 86th year. Born at Britannia Bay, Ontario on July 19, 1917. Predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Florence Morrison; her brothers, Stuart and Grant; her sister, Fern and her beloved husband, Murray. A resident of Victoria since 1990, Dot is survived by her children, Ross (Eunice) of Ottawa, Ian (Deborah) of Owen Sound, Ontario, Susan of Victoria and Douglas (Anne) of Hazelton, B.C., in addition to her much-loved grandchildren Teri-Ann (Alex) of North Vancouver, Michael (Kim) of Vancouver, Taylor, Rorey and Shauna of Owen Sound, Ontario, Darroch and Khymlyn of Hazelton, B.C. and Miranda of Victoria. A well travelled, well read golfer, gardener, swimêmer and birdwatcher, Dot believed strongly in social justice and supported the activities of Inter Pares and Amnesty International. Donations in her memory may be made to those organizations or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. No service by request. Interment will take place at a later date at St. James Cemetery in Hull, Quebec. The family would like to thank the staff at Douglas House and Dr. Linda Ottley for their recent care.
