GAULIN, Dorothy (1926 - 2008) nee Finlan Peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus on Monday, August 11, 2008. She leaves her loving husband of 57 years, Dr. Pierre Gaulin and her five children, Louise (Wally Schaber), Dr. Paul Gaulin of Las Vegas, Philippe, Celine (David Wilson) and Michelle (Keith Hancock). She was the daughter of the late Donald A. Finlan and Kathleen Lyons and sister of Patricia, Michael (Elaine) and Mary (Neil Anthony). She will be sadly missed by her seven beloved grandchildren, Conrad, Maryanne, Joseph, Lisa, Julie, Emily and Madelon. She will also be missed by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Louise, Bernard and Lucile, Helene and Francoise and her many nieces and nephews. Dorothy attended Immaculata High School in Ottawa and graduated in 1948 from the University of Ottawa Nursing School and before her marriage was Head nurse on the Ottawa General C.T.U. Medical ward. In keeping with Dorothy's wishes there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. for family and friends on Friday, August 15th at Ste-Anne Roman Catholic Church, 528 Old St. Patrick Street, Ottawa followed immediately by a private burial. The family expresses sincere thanks to all the members of the Nursing Staff of the ICU, of the 5th and 6th Floors of the hospital and to the many physicians and residents who were so caring and compassionate in taking care of Dorothy including her family physician Dr. Karas and more specifically Dr. Chan in Internal Medicine and Dr. Kim of the ICU.
