Dorothy E. MacDonald of Flemington, N.J., passed away in her home on Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at the age of 84 surrounded by her loving family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, N.J. 08887 on Friday, Dec. 28, from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 29, from 8:45 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. Funeral services will be on Saturday, Dec. 29, at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, N.J. Born in Piscataway, N.J., Dorothy resided in South Plainfield, N.J., for 32 years before moving to Flemington, N.J., in 1983. Along with being a loving mother and devoted wife, Dorothy worked at "Two Guys" in Watchung, N.J., for 10 years. Dorothy was an active parishioner at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, N.J. She will be especially remembered for her extraordinary kindness and giving ways. She was predeceased by her husband, David, in 2010 and her son, David Jr., in 1982. Surviving are one loving daughter, Dorothy Reynolds and Peter Mendez of Dunellen, N.J.; four sons, James and Peni Burke of Valrico, Fla., Robert of Flemington, N.J., Bert and Kathy of Budd Lake, N.J., and Danny and Cathy Eggert of South Plainfield, N.J. She is also survived by her sisters, Peggy Cunningham of Three Bridges, N.J., and Theresa Lauria of Anaheim, Calif., and a sister-in-law, Dorothy (Marie) Carlomagno of South Plainfield, N.J. She was an adored "Nanny" to Stephanie, Frankie, KariAnn, Ryan, Andrea, David, Shelly, Stacy, Andrew, Kevin and four great-grandchildren, Anthony, Rylea, Kavin and Frankie.
