Dorothy Elaine Jones, 67, of Tuscumbia, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2005.Visitation will be Monday, July 18, 6-9 p.m., at Spry Serenity Chapel, Florence. Her funeral service will be Tuesday, July 19, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers.Mrs. Jones was a native of Lauderdale County but spent most of her life in Colbert County. A member of West Side Church of Christ, she was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey E. Jones.Survivors include sons, Danny E. Jones (Brenda), of Florence, Donnie Jones, Bobby Jones and Tony Jones, all of Tuscumbia; daughters, Carolyn McKenzie (Joe), of Tennessee, Sheila Anderson (Clyde), of Florence, Phyllis Spears (Toby), of Tennessee; brothers, Ray Dabbs, of Tuscumbia, Louie Dabbs, of Athens; sister, Mary Hooper, of Tuscumbia; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.Spry Serenity Chapel, Florence, is directing.
