Dorothy E. Hurlman (nee Doyle) of Levittown, Pa., formerly of Berkeley Heights, N.J., passed away in the Statesman Health and Rehabilitation Center, Levittown, Pa., with her family by her side, on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at the age of 62. Visitation will be held at the Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial, 646 Springfield Ave., Berkeley Heights, N.J., on Monday, Sept. 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass, celebrated at 10:45 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 306 Morris Ave., Summit, N.J. Dorothy was born in Yonkers, N.Y., and resided in Berkeley Heights for many years. She worked as a nurse for Einstein Hospital in the Bronx, N.Y., for 18 years, then as a school nurse for the Elizabeth Board of Education, Elizabeth, N.J., for 18 years, before recently retiring. Dorothy was the loving mother of Gregory Hurlman and his wife, Michelle, of Howell, N.J., Katie Hurlman-Serrano and her husband, Oscar, of Levittown, Pa., and Matthew Hurlman of New Providence, N.J.; devoted daughter of Kay Doyle of Oakland, N.J., and the late William R. Doyle; dear sister of Melody Bertholf of Middletown, N.Y., Louise Labarbera of Brookfield, Conn., Eileen Dowd of Oakland, N.J., Mary D'Agati of Haddonfield, N.J., and Tommy Doyle of Issaqua, Wash.; and cherished grandmother of Jonathan, Mackenzie, Emily, Carlos-Raul, and Chloe.
