OKEECHOBEE - Dorothy "Aunt Dot" D. Williams, age 92, of Okeechobee, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, in the Okeechobee Health Care Facility. She was born March 4, 1919, in Griffin, Ga. She had been a resident of Okeechobee since 1973 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Okeechobee. Aunt Dot loved children. She taught 4th grade girls Sunday School for over 50 years. She was loved by all and will be missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warner Williams; sister, Janet Stancil; and niece, Nancy Blackwood. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a multitude of Brothers and Sisters in Christ, all who will miss her dearly. A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 2011, in the First Baptist Church of Okeechobee. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Children's Department, 401 SW 4th Street, Okeechobee, Fl 34974.
