CARTER, Dorothy Entered into eternal rest Tuesday, February 13, 2007, Dorothy Mae Jordan Carter, wife of Reverend Wayne Gordyn Carter, Sr. Residence, North Charleston, South Carolina. The relatives and friends of Reverend and Mrs. Wayne G. Carter, Sr. are invited to attend the funeral service of the latter at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Walterboro, SC, Monday, February 19, 2007at eleven o'clock. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, IN., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL, Sunday, February 18, 2007 from six until eight o'clock. Born November 27, 1936 in Atlanta, Georgia, Mrs. Carter was the daughter of Arnold Jordan and the late Louise Perkins Jordan. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Walterboro and a retired bookkeeper with Doschers' Grocery. Mrs. Carter was a leader in Food for Hungry Program at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, an endearing wife, a wonderful mother of seven and a great cook. Surviving Mrs. Carter are her father: Arnold Jordan of Elyria, Ohio; her husband: Reverend Wayne G. Carter, Sr. of N. Charleston; three sons: Wayne G. Carter, Jr. and wife Kay of Santa Ana, California, Jeff Carter and wife Jean of N. Charleston and Terry L. Carter of N. Charleston; four daughters: Dorea D. Bonneau and husband Robert of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Nancy G. McCurley and husband Robert of N. Charleston, Darla M. Gonding of N. Charleston, and Barbara L. Carter of N. Charleston; a sister: Maybelle Lyons and husband Halford of Detroit, Michigan; a brother: Edward Jordan and wife Charlene of New Jersey. Survivors also include nine grandchildren: Heather R. Macadaeg and husband Gary, Christopher Gonding, Kimberly Núñez, Erica Carter, Mark Bonneau, Joshua Núñez, Ariel Carter, Jordan Núñez and Carter Núñez; a great granddaughter: Zoë Noëlle Núñez-Brandao and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
