Dorothy-Ann Johnson, daughter of Edward and Edna, died.
Dorothy Ann "DJ" Johnson69 of Bradenton went to be with the Lord on April 24th 2014. She was born to the late Edward and Edna Hofer on March 3rd 1945 in Reedsburg, WI, where she grew up on a dairy farm. She graduated from Reedsburg high school in 1963. DJ later became a co-owner of a travel agency in Bradenton. She enjoyed traveling to many different places. After leaving the travel industry, she began working for Dr. Jeff Thompson DMD as a receptionist. She greeted everyone that came into the office with a smile for 25 years. Even after retiring from Dr. Thompson's, DJ continued to work there part-time. She was an active member at Braden River United Methodist church where she also enjoyed working part-time in their thrift shop. DJ was passionate about cooking, sports, and reading. She leaves behind many friends who will forever love and miss her. Friends who can rest assured that our sweet DJ is finishing the latest Danielle Steele book, enjoying a glass of wine while patiently waiting for football season so she can root for her Green Bay Packers. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 17th at 2 p.m. Braden River United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the Southeastern Guide Dog Association.
