PERRETTE, Doris Lucas, 81, of Dade City, went to be with her Heaven-ly Father on May 25, 2014. She was born April 24, 1933 in Tampa, Florida. She was predeceased by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Lucas. She is survived by Cecil Perrette, her loving husband of nearly 63 years; her daughter, Stacey Perrette; grandson Scott MacCord (Nancy); granddaughter, Katie Estes (Nick); grandson, Christopher MacCord, great- grandson, Anthony Estes; and great-granddaughter Riley Estes. Doris graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1950. She was in the National Honor Society and a cheerleader for three years. After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Tampa. She married Cecil Perrette on June 10, 1951. She worked for the school board in Tampa, Fidelity Mutual Insurance Company, and the City of Temple Terrace. She played the organ for the Northeast Methodist Church for several years. Her husband's career led their family to live in New Jersey, California, and Pennsylvania, but they returned to the Tampa area to retire and kept a home in Murphy, North Carolina. Doris loved nature and her puppies. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at the Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave, Tampa. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
