MARTINEZ, Ga. - Mrs. Doris L. Stewart, age 75, of Red Leaf Way, died October 9, 2003, at the Medical College of Georgia, after a long and courageous battle with lung disease. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2003, at noon at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Edward A. Corley officiating. Mrs. Stewart was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She was a retired nurse from University Hospital after 23 years of service. She was of the Christian faith and loved and served the Lord Jesus Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Blackburn of Augusta and Charlotte 'Al' Powell of Martinez; two sons, Mike Brady and fiance, Luanne Morris of Evans and Bruce 'Teri' Brady of Ft. Myers, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Skip Hudson, Shawn Rhodes, Shannon Taylor, Karen Hustead, Morgan Bradford, Marlin Brady, Sydney Powell, Alley Powell and Taylor Powell and10 great- grandchildren. Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Isaac and Ruby Pate Landers; a sister, Marion E. Corley and three brothers, Ed James, Jack Landers and John Landers. Pallbearers will be Carey Landers, Mike Landers, Ronnie Landers, Ray Landers, Michael Rhodes and Adam Morris. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.
