Doris Jean Gault Johnson UNION, SC-- Mrs. Doris Jean Gault Johnson, age 81, widow of Robert Malcolm "Buddy" Johnson, Jr., passed away Wednesday, July 3, 3013 at Wallace Thomson Hospital. Mrs. Johnson was born in Union, January 20, 1932 a daughter of the late Herbert and Lillie Mae Gault. She was retired from Conso Products and was a member of Duncan Acres United Methodist Church. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Faith Circle and the Mary Lybrand Sunday School class of Duncan Acres. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are a daughter, Catherine Varner of the home; special nieces, Cetora Kerr and Marie Knox of Union and a special nephew, Graham Gault of Union along with many other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by six sisters, Pauline Foster, Virl Bentley, Dorothy Lipsey, Ruby Gault, Margaret Haney and Phyllis Abrams; and six brothers, Cecil Gault, Albert Gault, William Gault, Russell Gault, John Daniel "J.D" Gault, and Paul Dean "Nennie" Gault. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Duncan Acres United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Merritt Wentz. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Toney Gault, Robert Bentley, Bennie Ray Hilderbrand, Frankie Greer, Willard "Snowball" Hucks and James Owenby.
