Doris J. Anderson, 77, Sarasota, died Aug. 6, 2006. She was born May 28, 1929, in Fernandina Beach and came to Sarasota from there in the 1960s. She was director of central services, central store and endoscopy at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. She graduated from St. Luke's Hospital, Jacksonville, and was in the Army Reserves as chief nurse of surgery and chief of nursing services. She was a member of Sarasota Golf Club. She is survived by a sister, Lucille Sweatt of Fernandina Beach. Memorial services will be later. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Gulf Gate Chapel, is handling arrangements.
