Loved mother of Nancy Begg-Durkee (John) of Ottawa, Neil Begg (Pauline) of RR #1 Monkland and Mary Begg of Brockville. Dear sister of Glenn Shaver (Cherry) of Belleville and Hazel Grant (late Keith) of Moosecreek. Sadly missed by her five grandchildren Kimberly Harrop (Christopher), Natalie Begg (Alex), Christopher Begg (Melissa), Mary Ellen and Colleen Durkee and by two great-grandchildren Amber and Gavin. Dear sister-in-law of Marion Bentley (Bill) of Whitby. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Elburn and Gladys (Cameron) Shaver and one brother Lyle Shaver (Greta) of Blind Bay, British Columbia. Visitation will be held at the Brownlee Funeral Home, 18 Front Street, Finch, on Friday, January 4, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A Service in Celebration of Doris Begg's life will be held in St. James United Church Avonmore on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Lois Gaudet officiating. Spring interment at Gravel Hill Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to St. James United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
