Obituary of Doris-D. Anderson


Anderson, Doris D. MENANDS Doris Dikeman Anderson, 83, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany. Born in Ambler, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Raymond Dikeman and Ethel Jackson Dikeman and wife of William Lee Anderson of Menands. Raised and educated in Niagara County, she was a graduate of Wilson Central School and received her bachelor's and master's degree from the former New York State Teachers College in Albany. Mrs. Anderson was a secretary with the New York State Legislature for 35 years, retiring in 2002. She worked for Senator Owen Johnson from Long Island. Survivors in addition to her husband, Lee, include a daughter, Susan Gail Anderson Limeri of Glenville; a son, Peter B. Anderson (Laura); grandson, Matthew Lee Anderson, granddaughter, Julia Renee Anderson, all of Latham; two sisters, Elinor Gabby of Burt, N.Y., Betty Porter of Des Moines, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, Lansingburgh.
