Obituary of Doris Anderson

ANDERSON _ Doris Doris passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital, Trochu, Alberta on November 21, 2008 at the age of 88 years. She was born in the Bethel area east of Three Hills and moved to the present farm site in 1922, where she received her education at the Three Hills town school. Doris worked on the family farm and looked after her parents when their health failed. From 1950 to 1974, she worked at the Three Hills Post Office. Her greatest wish was to remain on the farm where she had many wonderful times with her various assortment of cats, dogs, peacocks and birds. Doris is survived by her nieces and nephews who have fond memories of time spent with "Aunt Tag" and "Uncle Doo" at the farm. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed these many visits around the kitchen table. Doris leaves many long-time friends in the Three Hills area. She was predeceased by her parents Axle and Mary, brothers Donald and Douglas, sisters Betty Kneivel, Ruth Fleming and Beatrice Sollberger. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 28, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Three Hills Art Academy with Harold Hunter officiating. Memorial donations may be made directly to the charity of choice. HEARTLAND FUNERAL SERVICES LTD., Olds, entrusted with arrangements. Telephone: 1-403-507-8610.
