->East Lyme - Doris Alice Harrington of East Lyme, died on May 17, 2011, at Bride Brook Health Care.She was born in Old Lyme on April 17, 1911, the daughter of William and Henrietta Brooks.Doris and her husband operated a food concession on Boston Post Road in Flanders for many years before traffic was rerouted to Interstate 95. They also served as custodians at the Flanders Baptist Church from 1958 to 1974, where she was a member. Doris had lived independently for 99 and 1/2 years and was excited to celebrate her 100th birthday in April.Doris was predeceased by her husband, Carl; sister, Helen Ebersole; and brothers, Paul, Howard, Cecil, Fred, and John Brooks.She is survived by a niece, Jacqueline Lamourine and nephews, Victor, William, and Frederick Ebersole.A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday in Flanders Baptist Church, Boston Post Road, East Lyme.
