DONNA D. YANNELLI VALPARAISO, IN Donna D. Yannelli, 54, of Valparaiso, passed away Friday, May 16, 2008 at the VNA Hospice Center. She was born October 20, 1953 in San Angelo, Texas the daughter of Edgar & Frances Burgwaldt. Donna had been the Director of the Porter County Animal Shelter for 17 years through the 1980's and '90's. She will be fondly remembered for her love of all animals especially her German Shepherds. Her friends will be reminded of her every time a Harley-Davidson passes by on a warm summer day. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, David Yannelli, on March 7, 2003; and is survived by her devoted son, Wes Smith of South Bend, IN; and many loving friends.
