Donna M. Peterson, 70, aka Voner aka McCormick passed on Sat, April 12 at her home in Hudson after a three year battle with brain cancer. Donna was known for her magnetic outgoing personality, handsome young looks and love of conversation. She grew up in Natick, daughter of three children of Frank and Marie Voner, sister to Richard and Pamela. Donna was in the second graduating class of Marian HS of 1961 going on to study at Burdett College then working at Honeywell and US Army Natick Labs where she met and married serviceman Joseph McCormick in 1967. In 1968, Sean J McCormick was born. The couple divorced soon after and Donna struggled as a single parent to keep her and her son in middle class. She worked at Prime Computer, Northern Telecom and also ran a home cleaning business at times. In 1985 she married Daniel A Peterson and moved to Hudson to enjoy a 12 year marriage. In 1995 she started a 10 year public service career as a Town of Hudson Police Dispatcher. She then worked as a nanny running households. She is a member of Grace Baptist Church in Hudson. Before she was diagnosed with Glialblastoma in 2011 Donna was mowing her own lawn and shoveling snow. Her mother will be 100 in September.
