He was born on September 17, 1955.Donald is preceded in death by his father, Austin Elliott.Survivors include his mother, Frances Newman; stepfather, Billy Newman; brothers, Terry and Jeffrey Elliott; children, Crystal (Joshua) Whitaker, Brandon (Brittany) Harding, Alyssa (Austin) Harris; seven grandchildren.Donald retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation after 28 years of service.Family and friends will serve as Active Pallbearers.Visitation will take place at Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home from 3 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2015. Funeral service will take place at Anderson & Garrett on Monday, February 23, 2015 at 1 o'clock, with Pastor Jerry Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville, TN.
