Donald "Pood" Peters, age 78, of Glendale, Fla., passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, in Joyce Goldenberg Hospice. He was born and raised in Glendale and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country in the Korean conflict. Among survivors are his son, Jesse (Linda) Peters of Hartford; granddaughters, Ava and Elana; his sisters, Edna (John) Burris and Pearline (Charles) Thomas; numerous nieces and nephews; in addition to Bird and Petey and Luber and Kicky, his dogs and cats. Floral arrangements are being accepted. The family will receive guest in Jerry Evans Chapel on Wednesday, Jan. 30, from 10 to 11 a.m. At 11 a.m. a procession to Cluster Springs Cemetery will take place for a brief graveside service. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Jerry Evans.
