Donald Joe "Don" Smith, 63, of 217 East Queens Drive, died June 16, 2001, at University Hospital, New Orleans, La. A native of Greenville and reared in Woodruff, he was a son of the late John Smith and the late Eva Rhodes Smith Adams. He was an accountant. Survivors: daughter, Paula Raie S. Toon of Simpsonville; sisters, Joyce King and Lottie Porter, both of Woodruff; brother, Evans "E.L." Burke of Florida; and two grandsons. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, June 21, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. C.E. "Smoke" Kanipe and the Rev.
