MacKENZIE, Donald James. (Jim) (R.C.A.F. - Retired) Jim was born on October 6, 1921 in Lacombe, Alberta. His parents, Roddy and Jenny emigrated from Scotland to be among the original prairie homesteaders. He spent his early years until the war working on the family wheat farm in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan. Jim passed away peacefully with his beloved family by his side on Monday, September 6, 2004 at 7 p.m. Besides the extreme pleasure of having him in our lives, he leaves his legacy of love and kindness. Jim will be forever cherished and always remembered with gratitude by his devoted wife Iris (Simmonds), his special first born, Donald Murray (predeceased), his adored daughters Heather Patricia, Shelley Barbara (Bob), Bonnie (Stewart) and Lisa, his amazing grandchildren Kristi Marie Daley (Andrew) and Jeffrey James MacKenzie Daley (Sandrine), Lindsay and Will Armstrong, Stephanie and Jennifer Holdsworth and Jaime Hughes and his "oh-so-clever" great-grandson Ryan Patrick Ransom.
