Born in Vancouver on September 11, 1931. Passed away peacefully May 11, 2011 at the North Shore Hospice. Don was predeceased by his loving wife, Joan on August 21, 2001. Don spent the last 9 years with his loving companion, Gail Nielly.Don is survived by his loving family, son Dave (Tracey), daughters Patty and Pam, grandchildren Trevor, Janella, and Simone, his sister Shirley (Ron), sister-in-law Joan, nephews Glen, Jim & John, nieces Lana, Carolyn, Dale & Julie, their families & by many friends.He worked at Dominion Bridge & SFU as a machinist until his retirement in 1994. Memorial service will be held on Friday, May 20 at 2:00 pm at the Boal Chapel of First Memorial, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children's Hospital, Canuck Place, Canadian Cancer Society or North Shore Hospice.
