WADLEY, Ga. - Mr. Donald E. "Don" Hall, age 76 of North Main Street died Sunday afternoon September 14, 2014 in the Doctors Hospital in Augusta. After a private family graveside service in the Wadley City Cemetery, a memorial will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 20, 2014 in the Louisville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bill Cain officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be the deacons and trustees of the Louisville ARP Church, Jay Grace, Rodney Mays, Randy Hall and his "golf pals": Bobby Lee, Rick Harrington, Dudley Stulb, Carl Darby, Jr. and Bill Bambrick. A native of Savannah, Don was a son of the late James Marcus Hall, Jr. and Thelma Price Hall. He was a member of a team of 3 that fully computer automated the entire Georgia Railroad Bank & Trust Company system. He was at the time the youngest person to be named officer of the Georgia Railroad Bank. Later Don went on to become the Senior Vice President of Citizens Bank of Gainesville. Don was a member of many clubs which included: Kiwanis Club in Augusta, Gainesville and Louisville; Augusta Country Club; The Pinnacle Club in Augusta; the Gold G Club of the Georgia Railroad Bank & Trust Company in Augusta and was a Honorary brother of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Mr. Hall was an avid golfer and outdoorsman. He was a member of the Louisville ARP Church and had also served in the National Guard for 16 years. Don was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Margaret Hall Little and Carolyn Hall Hutchin and is survived by his wife; Glenda King Hall of Wadley, sons; Bert Hall of Augusta and Jeff Hall of Gainesville, daughter; Susan Boone of Wilmington, NC, 6 grandchildren; Lauren Hall, Drew Hall, Ryan Boone, Ashley Boone, Caitlin Boone and Josh Boone, 3 great grandchildren, brother; James Marcus Hall, III (Julia) and sister; Ann Hall Wilson (Jerry) and many nieces and nephews. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Louisville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 824 Walnut Street, Louisville, GA 30434.
