BENSON, Donald Harold, 77, of Holiday, died Friday. May 23, 2003 at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital in Tarpon Springs. He was born in Brockton, Mass. and moved to Holiday from Syracuse, N.Y. in 1990. He was a retired machine operator for General Electric Co. in Syracuse, N.Y. with 38 years of service and a US Navy Veteran of World War II. He was of the Episcopal faith and a member of Dixie Groves Civic Associatio n in Holiday, the Michael J. Cicero American Legion Post #173 in Holiday and the VFW Post #10167 in Holiday. Survivors include son, Thomas M. Benson; and three grandchildren, Marc Benson, Stephen Benson and Andrea Benson, all of Huntington Beach, Calif. A memorial service will be Sunday, June 1, 2003 at 1 p.m. at the American Legion Post #173, 4550 Bartelt Road, Holiday.
