Don David Walker, 67, Fair Grove, born October 17, 1937, to the late Andrew and Ida (Carnahan) Walker, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2005, in St. John's Hospital. He was united in marriage to Jacoba "Jackie" Walker, who preceded him in death. Don worked as a General Contractor and was a member of ASCAP (American Song Writers, Composers, Authors, and Publishers) out of Nashville, Tenn. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and country music. Survivors include brother, James Walker and wife, Mary, of Independence brother-in-law, Grover McDaniel sister, Joan Durant, both of Springfield three nephews, Jerry D. Walker of Independence, James M. Evans of Blue Springs, and Danny McDaniel of Springfield one niece, Sandra Gantt and husband, Phillip, of Monett numerous other loving relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2005, at 2 p.m. in ThiemeShadel Funeral Service at Midtown with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
