Owner of Williams Auto Electric MARTINEZ, Ga. - Mr. Don A. "Donnie" Williams age 63, husband of Mrs. Barbara Williams entered into rest at University Hospital on Wednesday, April 18, 2007. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Belair Rd. Chapel of Platt's Funeral Home with Rev. W. Wayne Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Carolyn Kitchens Williams of Augusta, two daughters, Donna Dyches Jewell and her husband David of Grovetown, Lori S. Williams of Martinez, one brother, Phil Williams of Augusta, two sisters, Phyllis Crider and Carol Murrah and her husband John of Augusta. One grandchild, Ashley Richard Austin Dyches, mother in law, Mrs. Lucille Cole, and several nieces & nephews. Mr. Williams was the owner of Williams Auto Electric for thirty five years. He was a member of the Faith Community Church. Donnie coached football at the Richmond County Recreation Department for many years, he loved all sports and he was a member of the Academy of Richmond County 1960 championship football team. Mr. Williams was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. His deep Christian relationship with Christ sustained him for the past 16 years during his battle with heart disease. Pallbearers will be Travis Mason, Chad Hill, Billy Wood, Nelson Ramsbotham, Chuck Crider and Bernard Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Howard, Brian Howard, Chris Howard and Jeff Ramsbotham. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at 1105-D Furys Lane, Augusta, GA 30907.
