March 10, 2006 Dolores "Dora" J. Jordan, 79, of Syracuse, died Friday at Crouse Hospital. Born in Syracuse, she was a life resident of the area. She was retired from the United States Defense Contract Agency in Syracuse, where she worked as a secretary for many years. She was an avid bowler and had bowled for many years. She was a member of the Syracuse Women's Bowling Association and its 600 Club. She was a communicant of St. Brigid and St. Joseph Church in Syracuse. She is survived by a son, David (Lucia) Jordan of Oneida; a daughter, Diane (Andy) Jordan-Bender of Syracuse; three sisters: Antoinette Saule of Solvay and Amelia Valentino and Josephine Colagiovanni, both of Syracuse; two grandchildren, Mark and Zachary Jordan; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1993 and her sisters, Isabella Sanzo and Jenny Fall. Funeral services will be held 8:15 a.m. Tuesday from Lucians Memorial Chapel, Inc., 315 Bridge St., Solvay, and at 9 a.m. at St. Brigid and St. Joseph Church. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
