March 10, 2006 Dolores "Dora" J. Jordan, 79, of Syracuse, died Friday at Crouse Hospital. Born in Syracuse, she was a life resident of the area. She was retired from the United States Defense Contract Agency in Syracuse, where she worked as a secretary for many years. She was an avid bowler and had bowled for many years. She was a member of the Syracuse Women's Bowling Association and its 600 Club. She was a communicant of St. Brigid and St. Joseph Church in Syracuse. She is survived by a son, David (Lucia) Jordan of Oneida; a daughter, Diane (Andy) Jordan-Bender of Syracuse; three sisters: Antoinette Saule of Solvay and Amelia Valentino and Josephine Colagiovanni, both of Syracuse; two grandchildren, Mark and Zachary Jordan; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1993 and her sisters, Isabella Sanzo and Jenny Fall. Funeral services will be held 8:15 a.m. Tuesday from Lucians Memorial Chapel, Inc., 315 Bridge St., Solvay, and at 9 a.m. at St. Brigid and St. Joseph Church. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Brigid and St. Joseph Church, 318 Herkimer Street, Syracuse, NY 13204. Lucians Memorial Chapel, Inc.
