KING, Dianne Elizabeth March 22, 1932 January 30, 2010 Dianne, eldest daughter of Thomas and Ethyl Fyfe (nee Keedwell) was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, where she spent her youth with her twin sister Gloria and many, many friends. She graduated from Magee High School in 1950 and then attended U.B.C. where, with the company of her sister, they developed excellent Bridge skills. One year later she attended and graduated from Fenton Commercial School. Dianne starting working for the East Asiatic Company where she met and married her boss, Donald Norman King (predeceased) in 1954, a 54 year union until his death. She is survived by her son Thomas Norman (Elizabeth) King, daughter Tracey Elizabeth King, and her three granddaughters Jamie and Jennifer McMillan and Sarah King. Mom was a great believer in social protocol, etiquette and manners, and taught us many rules for the way things should and should not be. Even though some may have been unable to follow her rationale, there was always resolute logic in her purpose. A special thank-you goes out to the Beech House staff at Sunridge Place and the staff at Harmony Health Care, especially Jane. A wonderful, loving wife, a caring, devoted mother, sister, grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt and special friend, you leave a legacy of great dedication and grand mentorship. You will be missed, but not forgotten. The values, morals and principles you have shown us will live on, Mom. In loving memory, a Toast To the finest woman we know.
