MILTON — Diane Marie Smith, age 56, of Vachon Drive in Milton, died suddenly, November 28, 2011, at home.Born September 7, 1955, the daughter of Robert E. and Gloria B. (Gilchrest) Briggs, she was raised in Northboro, Mass. and resided in Milton, N. H. since 1984.Diane was employed as an Insurance Assistant at Liberty Mutual in Dover, she was also a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant.She was a member of Milton's Merry Milliners Red Hat Society, she was also active with many social circles of common interests, including, "Stamping Up" and the "Lunch Bunch." She especially loved her family and friends and her pets, Willow, Gracie and Sophie. Survived by her husband of 27 years, Richard A. Smith, of Milton; her father, Robert E. Briggs, of Barnstable, Mass.; her 2 daughters, Stacy, and husband, Jon Morrison, of Wells, Maine, Janice, and husband, Travis Day, of Penacook, N. H.; her 2 granddaughters, Bailey and Emily Morrison; 3 siblings, Robert E. Briggs, Jr. of Dennisport, Mass., Paula Poore, of Oceanside, Calif. and Mark Briggs of N.
