ObituaryDiane Marie Meyer, 58, lost her battle with cancer on Sept. 5, 2005. She is in the presence of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Steven and Edna Mae Booth. Diane was raised in Geneva, OH, then moved to Lorraine, OH where she met and married her husband Bill Meyer on June 29, 1972. In 1973 Diane and her family moved to Toledo, OH. She was a devoted stay at home Mom to her 8 children. Many vacations were had by the Meyer family. One in particular was the driving trip to Ontario, Niagara Falls, Canada. Diane and Bill took many trips to Florida with the family and decided to head south permanently and made Cape Coral their home in November 1981. Diane loving cruising over the Cape Coral Bridge with the window down. Diane worked and co-owned Regal Tire & Exhaust since 1988, she also was the Bookkeeper for her son, John Meyer at Country Club Exhaust for 3 years. Diane is survived by her husband of 33 years, Bill Meyer, Sr; her father Steven Petrinski, Geneva, OH; children; Bill Jr. of Ohio, Kim Bradshaw of Michigan, Bob and Kevin of OH, Michelle Polendo of Cape Coral, Michael (Christy) of Sebring, Robin Laurenti of Cape Coral and John Meyer of Cape Coral; 15 grandchildren, sisters, Barb Martin and Sandy Doll of Geneva, OH.Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005 from 5-7 PM in the chapel of Coral Ridge Funeral Home with services following at 7:00 PM. Family and friends are welcome to join Bill and his family for a "Celebration of Diane's Life" immediately follow the services at 225 SW 45th Street, Cape Coral, FL.
