1929 - 2012Mrs Diane Gates Davison Robert, 83, of Alicante, Spain, passed away June 22nd, 2012. Born in New Jersey and raised in Locust Valley, Long Island, she attended Oberlin College before marrying in 1951. Her outgoing personality and unabashed interest in people made her a noticed and welcome presence everywhere she went. An avid reader and moviegoer, her appreciation of the outdoors and vivid curiosity took her on many trips across the world, sometimes with all seven of her children in tow. She joins in rest her beloved husband Jean Hervé and parents Artemus and Alice Gates, of Locust Valley. She is deeply missed by her sister, Cynthia Woronzoff-Daschkoff , of Paris, France; her sons and daughters in law, Dominique & Sueli of NJ, and Michel & Diana, of GA; her sons Philippe, of GA and Jean Noël, of Alicante, Spain; her daughters Monique, of Barcelona, Spain, Jacqueline, of Alicante, Spain and Véronique, of Madrid, Spain; her 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly.A funeral mass was held on June 25th in San Juan de Alicante, Spain. A memorial service will be conducted on Monday August 20th 2012, in the Chapel of La Ermita de la Santísima Cruz de Vistahermosa, in Alicante Spain. Later that day, family and friends will spread her ashes into the breeze atop Mount Maigmó, on the same majestic spot where her husband's ashes were released years earlier.
