Obituary of Diane Carter

GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mrs. Diane B. Carter, 57, entered into rest Saturday, September 17, 2011, wife and best friend of Paul L. Carter. Mrs. Carter was born in Ft. Campbell, KY, but has been a resident of Augusta for more than 30 years. She was a Registered Nurse for the State of Georgia. She enjoyed camping at the lake and was an avid yardsaler. Family members in addition to her husband include daughter, Tammy Carter; stepson, Randy (Christine) Carter; stepdaughter, Susan Clayton; brothers: Richard Bruce, Brad (Leslie) Bruce; sister, Debbie (JW) Robertson; 4 grandchildren; 2 nephews and 3 nieces. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Gloria Bruce. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Brian Martin and Rev. Charlie Kirk officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tommy Carter, Michael Carter, Scott Carter, Jonathan Bruce, Chuck Smith, and Derek Clayton. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
