May 11, 2009 Diane C. Walter Moriarty, 51, of Syracuse died Monday at home. A native of Syracuse and 1974 graduate of Liverpool High School, she was a 31-year employee of Blue Cross of CNY as a provider relations representative. She attended St. Stephen's Lutheran Church and was an SU fan. She loved camping at Stillwater Reservoir, her Chesapeake Bay retrievers, fishing with her dad and enjoyed visiting the NYS Wine Country. She was predeceased by her father, Robert H. Walter, on November 3, 2007. Surviving are her husband of 15 years, William J. Moriarty; her mother, Jean M. Walter of Liverpool; two brothers, Robert (Sally) Walter of Liverpool and Richard (Gretchen) Walter of Cicero; a sister, Nancy Walter of Syracuse; several nieces and nephews. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 14, at Fergerson Funeral Home. Burial will be Saturday at Woodlawn Cemetery, Grant Blvd., Syracuse.
