Diana-Mary Lee, born in 1931, spouse of Douglas Craven, daughter of Brigadier and Alister, mother of Vicki and Christopher, died on December 17, 2014.
LEE, Diana Mary Diana passed away peacefully on December 17, 2014 at Kiwanis Pavilion, Victoria, B.C. Diana was the daughter of Brigadier and Mrs. Alister Lee. She was born in Quetta, Pakistan, on January 13, 1931. Diana spent her early childhood in England, and was evacuated to Canada with her mother and brother in 1941. Her father died in Egypt in 1942, and Diana remained in Canada with her mother and brother. She attended Norfolk House School for Girls in Victoria, and has lived in B.C. most of her life. She was employed by the B.C. Government for many years. Diana was pre-deceased by her husband, Douglas Craven, her brother, Tony, and her son, Christopher. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Steve), grandsons Sam and Dan, daughter-in-law Anne, and granddaughter Katie. Much gratitude is extended to the Staff of Kiwanis Pavilion for their kind care and attention which they gave to Diana during her last year. As well, much gratitude is extended to all the care-workers from Beacon Community Services, who gave their kind care and support to Diana in the earlier years of her illness. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Holy Trinity Church, 1319 Mills Road, North Saanich, B.C. on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at 2:30 pm.
