FarmerWINTER HAVEN -- Mr. Dennis G. Williams of Winter Haven died of heart failure Thursday (April 1, 2004) at Auburndale Oaks Health Care Center. He was 81.Born March 12, 1928, in Paoli, Ind., he came here from Delavan, Wis., in 1978. He was a farmer. He was a member of the Delavan American Legion Post 95. He was known as Skid the Clown and was a past member of Clown Alley for more than 12 years. He was a Baptist.Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Williams. He is survived by his sons, Dennis J. Williams and James M. Williams, both of Winter Haven, Gary D. Williams, Vesuvius, Va.; daughters, Nancy L. Bagley, Sandra B. Collier and Kathryn A. Skipper, all of Winter Haven, Trudy K. Keefe, Vesuvius, Va.; brothers, Lyman Williams, Abilene, Texas, George Williams, Wabash, Ind., Jesse Williams, Kokomo, Ind., Zelbert Williams, Elkhorn, Wis.; sister, Fern Riley, Wahneta; 16 grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Auburndale. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
