Dennis E. "Luke" Lucas, 59, of South Louisville, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2004, at his home. He was an alumnus of the old Flaget High School and a retired blueprint engineer for the Kentucky Department of Highways. Dennis was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Ashbier. He is survived by his mother, Bernice Ludwig, and cousins, Elizabeth Chapman, Patricia Gordon, Donna Polinsky, Mike Arnett, Helen Stewart and James Gates. The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd. (family-owned and operated), with cremation to follow. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Friday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
