Denise Marchand (née Despatis) May 22, 1929 - October 31, 2013 In her 85th year, Denise died peacefully on October 31st, 2013. Her children, Elaine (Dave Shepherd) and François (Deb Woods), grandchildren Alyssa, Meaghan, Emily, Katherine, Geneviève, and Daniel, and loved ones, will remember her fondly. Mom had an adventurous spirit, smiled easily, and always kept us entertained. Her faith was strong and her belief that she would one day reunite with her mother Antoinette, her beloved Guy and her cherished daughter Danièle was unshakable. This will be a joyous moment for her...Go in peace Mom with all our love and admiration. We would like to extend a special thank you to her long time and dedicated caregiver Masika who provided exceptional care and compassion. In keeping with Denise's wishes, a memorial service in celebration of her life will take place at St Isidore Catholic Church on Saturday, November 16th, 2013 at 11 am. A reception will follow. Interment will be held at a later date at Repos St-François D'Assise in Montréal. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa Carleton.
