Denis S. Collins Died August 20, 2009 West Hartford - Denis S. Collins, 77, formerly of Norwich, husband of Anne (Sullivan) Collins, died at his home in West Hartford after an extended illness. Prior to his retirement in 1978, Denis was Head Golf Professional at the Norwich Golf Club and Pautipaug Country Club. He and his wife Anne resided in Norwich and Granby before moving to West Hartford in 1986. Besides Anne, his wife of 41 years, he is survived by three sisters, and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 24, 2009, 1 p.m. at the Church of Saint Peter Claver, 47 Pleasant Street, West Hartford, followed by burial in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Friends and relatives will be received Sunday, 3 - 6 p.m. at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 136 South Main Street, West Hartford.
