Delah June (Barton) departed this life Sept. 27, 2005, at Medicalodge of Neosho, Mo. She was 78 years, six months, and 22 days old. She was born March 5, 1927, in Springfield, Mo., to James Ephram and Aletha Elizabeth (Crabtree) Barton. Delah lived in and around Springfield, Mo., for many years. She worked at St. John's Hospital until April 19, 1972, when she married George Hopper. She then moved to Granby, Mo., where she resided until her passing. She was a member of St. Canera Parrish of Neosho, Mo. Delah was preceded in death by her parents two brothers three sisters her husband, George Hopper and one son, Carl Daniel "Danny" Parscale, Jr. She leaves behind six children: Sonny Hopper and wife, Sharon, Carthage Garry Taylor and wife, Debbie, Springfield, Mo. Johnny Taylor and wife, Ruthie, Laquey, Mo. Michael Taylor and wife, Louise, Buffalo, Mo. Deborah Brizendine and husband, John, Springfield, Mo. and CarlAnn Friend and husband, Ronnie, Neosho one sister, Myrtle Gibson, Warsaw, Mo. 17 grandchildren 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 30, in Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Granby, Mo., with Dr. Jerry Seigel officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. in Greenlawn North Cemetery in Springfield, Mo. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Friend, John Brizendine, Johnny Taylor, Michael Taylor, Sonny Hopper and Lane Brizendine. Garry Taylor will serve as honorary pallbearer. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until 7:30 p.m., today, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice in care of the funeral home.
