The beautiful gates of Heaven were gently opened an Sister Debra Ann Bonita Williams was greeted into eternal rest at North Shore University Hospital on June 23, 2009. Debra was the daughter of Ernestine Williams of St. Petersburg, FL. and the late Fredric M. Williams; she was born in Lake City, Fl on May 16, 1955. a graduate of Forrest Hill High school. Debra was the first and only black cheerleader in the school. Always the one to travel she moved to New York City, where she made her home. She was employed by the City of New York. (Office of Child Support Enforcement) in 1987 as a Clerical Associate, and in 2000 she became Supervisor (PAAI). Debra also worked in retail for Sandy's Corner for the last 25 years. Survivors include her son Aloysius (Shanequa) Williams, three grandchildren Simfene, Aloysius Jr., and Savon Williams of Monroeville, PA. Four sisters Noreen (Wallace) Jones of Lake City, Fl., Sandra (Terrance) Crawford of St. Petersburg, Fl. Tracey (Paul) Mitchell of Orlando, Fl., Tonya (Jimmy) McHenry of Tacoma, Washington. Debra was preceded in death by her brothers Lawrence and Juan Williams. Twelve nieces and nephews, three Godchildren: Lynell, Ariel and Tia. Companion, Daryl Sowell, four devoted friends Ruth Fulcher; Connie Murry, Evelyn Key and Jewel Miller. Extended family Faye, Sandy and Tia. Uncles, Aunts and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service for Debra Ann Bonita Williams, will be 12:00 noon Saturday June 27, 2009 at Roy L. Gilmore's Funeral Home, Inc. chapel in St. Albans, N.Y.
